Venmar HEPA 3000/4000

The HEPA series offers the unique combination of whole house filtration and fresh air exchange. Venmar’s HEPA models are designed to provide continuous HEPA filtration of the indoor air as well as HEPA filtration of the fresh air being brought into the house. The HEPA filter catches up to 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns or larger. A human hair = 150 microns.

Forty percent of the air drawn into the HEPA unit from the house is exhausted to the outside through either a Heat Recovery core (the HEPA 3000) or Energy Recovery core (the HEPA 4000) and replaced by an equal amount of fresh outdoor air. The recovery core keeps the incoming fresh air and stale exhaust air separate but allows heat (HRV core) or heat and moisture (ERV core) to transfer from one air stream to another. This core is recovering your heating and cooling dollars from the exhaust air stream. If you are not sure whether the HEPA 3000 or the HEPA 4000 is right for your home a good rule of thumb is if you do not have Air Conditioning or a Whole House Dehumidifier the HEPA 3000 is the model you need.
